Ida Duplantier will graduate with her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University in June 2025. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychological and Brain Sciences from Washington University, along with a certificate in Forensic Psychology.  She is currently providing counseling services under the supervision of Victoria Aitken, LPC, NCC.

She has experience working with adult individuals from diverse backgrounds. Her clinical work and training have focused on addiction, eating disorders, childhood emotional neglect, LGBTQIA+ concerns, cultic abuse, religious trauma, and animal-assisted therapy.

When working with clients, she promotes mental health through empowerment and collaboration, exploring your unique concerns through a biopsychosocial model. This approach recognizes that mental health is shaped by the complex interplay of biological, psychological, and social factors.

She is especially passionate about supporting those who feel like societal outcasts or like they just don’t quite “fit.” Her aim is to create a nonjudgmental space for individuals to shed the labels others have placed on them so they can explore their true values. Whether confronting childhood emotional neglect, redefining their identity, or unpacking religious trauma, she supports clients in achieving their unique goals.
